Following the statement by Mr Cheick Toure, Secretary-General of the union of the autonomous port of Conakry, dated 13 September 2018, at a meeting in front of the workers of the port which offended the head of state.
The prosecutor general at the Conakry court of appeal instructed the National Director of the judicial police of 14 September 2018 to initiate investigations and to arrest the person concerned.
Arrested on Tuesday, 18 September 2018, the aforementioned was heard on the facts of slanderous and defamation, offences planned and punished by articles 361, 363, and 364 of the criminal code.
On Wednesday, 19 September 2018, the Dean of the investigating judges of the court court of first instance was seized to investigate the case.
After questioning, he was placed under a deposit warrant for the investigation.
